Full Bio

Knox Summerour is a trumpeter, vocalist, songwriter & composer whose songs have millions of streams around the world. He has appeared on NBC’s The Voice, FOX’s American Idol, ESPN, CBS, and has had his music featured on ABC FAMILY, NBC, CBS, PBS, and domestic and international tv and film, including the hit Chinese drama The First Half of My Life (我的前半生).  His original songs are featured in the Beijing remake of What Women Want  (我知女人心) starring Andy Lau and Gong Li, and his work can be heard in many Jackie Chan productions, CBS’ Rules of Engagement, and many other TV shows, films, trailers, & studio albums. Knox has performed throughout the world, and has worked with Jeff Dunham, Kristin Bell, Leehom Wang 王力宏, and Nathan Wang 王宗賢 among many others.

Knox was trained at Boston’s Berklee College of Music (BM) where he was a trumpet pupil of Tiger Okoshi & Charles Lewis, and a composition student of John Bavicchi, Richard Davis, and Gregory Fritze. As a Graduate Assistant at the Hodgson School at UGA (MM), he was a protégé of the late Fred Mills, founding member of the Canadian Brass.
