Battle Hymn at Rose Bowl Stadium – Calling The Dawgs to Pasadena

As a former Redcoat & UGA Alumnus, although I was a 1st Trumpet, I never got the chance to play the Battle Hymn Solo at the game. With this in mind, I thought there would be no better way to Call The Dawgs to my current home, beautiful Pasadena and L.A., than with this short Hype Video, to fire up those that are coming out here (and those that aren’t) for the 2018 Rose Bowl Game between our Georgia Bulldogs and the Oklahoma Sooners. Go Dawgs! (Battle Hymn arranged by the legendary Jeff Simmons – Transcribed, Recorded, & Produced by Knox Summerour)

Zamba

A few years back Fred Mills took a group of us to New York City to record a live album.  I was fortunate to be able to record this solo, Allen Vizzutti’s composition “Zamba,” which I transcribed and arranged for brass ensemble.  Enjoy!
